Frequently asked questions

The lead time for a repair is on average two weeks for a standard repair. The lead time also depends on the type of amplifier. For example, PCB-based amplifiers are more time-consuming than, for example, point-to-point based amplifiers. We have an extensive stock of parts and pipes, but it may also happen that we have to order something and this of course also affects the lead time.

Do you have an emergency and urgently need your amplifier for a performance or studio session? Do not hesitate to contact us. We are flexible and are happy to help you. We do charge a small surcharge for this.

Before each repair starts, we will give you an accurate estimate of the repair costs. We always take into account the value of the amplifier and the customer’s budget. We will also always inform you if the costs increase.

There is a bench fee of 45 euros if you decide not to continue with the repair.

With preamp tubes you don’t have to worry about things like bias. As long as your new tube is the same model as what you are replacing (12AX7, 12AT7, 6SN7, etc.), you should be fine. It is also safe to mix and match different brands.

Many amplifiers need to be adjusted when the power tubes are replaced. For this the bias must be adjusted. This applies to most Class AB amplifiers that use 6L6, 6V6 or EL34 tubes, among others. This is not always easy depending on the brand or model and it is best to leave this to an experienced technician.

Class A amplifiers, on the other hand, do not need to be adjusted when power tubes are replaced.

We only repair tube amplifiers. Our specialization is in repairing and restoring vintage and boutique amplifiers such as Fender, Marshall, Vox, Gibson, Hiwatt, Silvertone, Supro, Magnatone, Matchless,…

Not sure if your amplifier is eligible? Please contact us.

You get a 3-month warranty on every repair. You get a 1-year warranty on newly built products. You will also receive an extensive test report. This way you are fully informed of the work carried out.

Unfortunately, tubes, transformers and cosmetic damage are not covered by the warranty. We do not make any fuss about guarantees and we always reach an agreement through consultation.
