Repairs and maintenance

The standard rate for a maintenance is € 125 including VAT. A maintenance consists of cleaning, checking and measuring the fuse, plug and earth, potentiometers, jacks, speaker (if applicable) capacitors, filaments and tubes. The amplifier will also be extensively tested to ensure that everything works properly.

If deviating values for resistors are found during general maintenance, these will be replaced immediately. Larger interventions such as replacing capacitors, transformers, hardware, tube sockets, tubes, … are not included in the price. Although it is not easy to give a price estimate in advance for this type of work, we will always give you honest advice in advance about the possible options, costs and working hours involved. Specific modifications or repairs are always discussed with the customer in advance. As well as the costs and working hours associated with this.

A detailed report is always drawn up for each amplifier that is delivered. This document contains information about your amplifier and the repairs that have been carried out. This way you are always informed about the work carried out and the condition of your amplifier.

Payments

All payments are made upon completion of the work performed. Payments can be made by bank transfer, PayPal, Payconiq by Bancontact, Bancontact, credit card or in cash. It is not possible to pay with a check. The amount must be paid within seven days. If an amplifier has to be sent, the amount must be first paid. Once the payment is received, the amplifier will be shipped the same business day or the next business day at the latest.

Repaired amps are stored for up to 90 business days after notification of completion. If the invoice is still not paid or has been collected after 90 working days, the ownership right will transfer to us. We reserve the right to sell the amplifier to recover working hours, storage and material costs. We cannot be held responsible for any losses due to default.

In case of late payment, a warning will be sent by email or letter. If you still do not pay, despite the reminder, we will send you a reminder by letter with the associated administrative costs (€ 7.50). If the payment is still not paid after the reminder, a collection agency is appointed to claim the amount due.

Shipment and delivery

It is the responsibility of the customer to arrange shipment to us. We cannot be held responsible for damage or loss of the package incurred during transport. You are responsible for any damage that is added to the amplifier during shipping. You must adequately protect, package and insure the amplifier. You can always contact us for advice on preparing your shipment.

All amplifiers returned to the customer are made via Bpost or a similar courier. A calculation of the shipping costs is made in advance. Shipping costs are always at the expense of the customer and vary according to the dimensions and weight of the package. All packages are delivered to the customer’s preferred address. A track-and-trace code is provided and a signature is required upon receipt. Carefully inspect all items and do not sign for your package unless you are completely satisfied and sure it arrived in good condition. Any damage to returned amplifiers must be reported within 2 working days of receipt.

Warranty

All repairs to amplifiers include a 3-month warranty covering labor and used parts. The warranty on an amplifier applies only to the repair of the original fault condition. All amplifiers that show the same error condition during the warranty period will be repaired free of charge, including the shipment of the amplifier to the customer. However, the customer remains responsible for the shipping costs to the workshop.

If there is no fault found or if it is a fault other than the original fault condition, this is considered a new repair and additional working hours and repair costs will be charged to the customer.

Damage

We do our best to ensure that your amplifier is treated with the utmost care. All amplifiers that leave the workshop are checked one last time and are tested for defects and weaknesses, but sometimes accidents can happen. Therefor we are not liable for scratches or damage that occurs during the repair process or shipping.
